Tags, Tags and More Tags

Hi There, Cindy here with your next fun challenge!  Today, we're talking tags.  I love making tags.  They are fun and can be used for so much more than just a pretty attachment to a gift.

Here is one I made with "Tim Holtz" style with an inspirational message.  This was fun to make because I die cut the flower and then ran the cut petals through an embossing folder before I assembled it.  The shimmer is from Perfect Pearls.  BTW - did you know that simple hair spray will help set your Perfect Pearls?

Here is a card that I made.  Do you see the tag that I used to anchor the larger folded image?  Tags are a great way to embellish cards even if you don't decorate them.  They can be used to add a pretty ribbon when you wouldn't really have had a way to attach it.

Just for fun, here is the petal folded pocket open showing the hidden message.

And, here is a tag that I turned into a bookmark.  I used a plastic sleeve that I had bought from eBay.  A pretty ribbon and it is perfect.

Tags make a terrific pallet to try a new technique, send an inspirational message or embellish your card and scrapbook projects.  Post your project to your blog, or if don't have a blog, you can add your project to our flickr group and link it there. If you're not already a follower, please show us some love and become one :)  This challenge is just for fun and will be open until March 26.  Thanks for playing!

Wedding bells are ringing...

Hello, Rene again.

Today it's the time when love is in the air and wedding bells are ringing : Anything wedding!
Yes, if it has a hint of wedding, you can share it. Save the date cards, invitations, wedding favours, really, let your mind go and share those ideas. Make that pretty card, or cute thank you card. And yes, an anniversary card fits the bill too.

This is an Anything Goes challenge, the only limit is that it MUST be a Wedding Related project. If you made the invitations, menu, etc, you are welcome to share them as one project, or separately.

I'm sharing my card with cute Bugaboo bells on:

This is a real simple card, very much the style I like. Rhinestones add glamour, liquid Pearls texture and Gelly Roll adds the glitter. I kept it all in whites, silver and pearl...and no colouring.

This challenge will be open until the end of the day on Tuesday March 18, and the winner will receive their choice of 7 digi images from Bugaboo Stamps.  Please use the inlinkz tool below to add your project, and if you don't have your own blog you can add your project in our flickr group and link it here.  I'm really excited to see what you are going to share with us.

Get Ready For Christmas!

Welcome to another challenge!

Rene here, and I am a procrastinator, so before I realize it, the Christmas season is here and I'm not ready. That is why I'm hosting this challenge, to try and be ready when Christmas 2013 dawns on me.

My challenge involves Non Traditional Christmas Colours. NO REDS OR GREENS, and very little gold. So many colours have crept into Christmas that it is a bit difficult to say what is traditional, what not.

Think a little out of the box...this is all about the colours you use. Your creation can be traditional, but bring us some different colours. It can be funky, toned down, bright...

When I started making cards, I bought loads of rubber stamps, some really lovely ones. Today I'm using one of these, Silent Night, Holy Night by Hero Arts. I've played around with some dye-ink pads and then decided on the indigo. The trimmed image was edged with Cosmic Copper Brilliance, then matted on recycled cardboard and finally added to a navy card. Three rhinestones add a bit of sparkle. Voila, my first Christmas card for 2013, all in non traditional colours:

We hope that we will see many fabulous creations getting ready for Christmas. You can show us cards, tags, bags, as long as you keep to the theme : Non Traditional Christmas Colours. Remember, you are getting ready for Christmas!

This challenge is just for fun, and you can add your project below using the inlinkz tool.  If you don't have your own blog, you can add your project to our flickr group and link it there.  If you're not already a follower, please show us some love and become one :)  This challenge will run from March 6 to March 12.  Can't wait to see what you create!
